Bitto's First Job
A 3D platformer about a three-inch robot who imagines every errand in a retro game store as a neon adventure.
It's Bitto's first day at a retro video game store. He's three inches tall, and every order sends him into the stockroom to fetch a game. It's dusty shelves and cardboard back there, but Bitto sees a glowing dungeon in the style of the game he's after.
There are five missions, each one imagined in a different retro style: an 8-bit fortress, a green four-color handheld, a fast 16-bit level, an old desktop computer and an arcade. He can run, triple jump, long jump, wall jump, ground pound and spin. There are coins to collect, hidden shards to find, and Dustmaw, the vacuum cleaner that guards the end of the day. After that, Bitto plugs in to charge, and dreams.
It plays in a desktop browser, with a keyboard and mouse or a gamepad. Nothing to install.

How it's made
The whole game is built from code. The 3D art is made in Blender, by scripts instead of by hand, and the music is procedural. I made it with AI tools. They did a lot of the code and a lot of the words (the dialogue and the shop signs), and I decided what went in.
The game keeps anonymous play stats so I can see where levels go wrong. Nothing personal, and the privacy page has the details.
